Shared Cities

The ‘Shared Cities Atlas’ is a book – an outcome of Shared Cities: Creative Momentum program, which was a platform of 11 organisations based in Belgrade, Berlin, Bratislava, Budapest, Katowice, Prague and Warsaw.

Creating a space for architecture, art and urban design, this network of NGOs, universities, governmental organisations, municipalities and active citizens set out on a mission to explore new and better ways of living in cities.

The ‘Shared Cities applied the new, global “sharing paradigm” in architecture and public sphere to a site-specific situation in seven cities in Central Europe. Mapping current practices of sharing and new fields of action in case studies, it contextualizes the phenomenon in research papers, data, and photography. One chapter dedicated to the city of Bratislava, Slovakia was written by Veronika Dlabáč (born Hliničanová) and Ján Mazúr, collaborators on the project Vivid Square.
